Atim Oji

​Atim Oji has undertaken cases in all aspects of Immigration Law at the First-Tier and Upper Tribunals, High Court and Court of Appeal.  


Her Criminal practice includes Crown Court defence work in fraud, rape, child neglect, importation and supply of Class A and Class B drugs, all types of assaults and Immigration offences.  She has also dealt with matters at the Court of Appeal regarding appeals against convictions and sentences.


Atim's Housing practice includes matters relating to Possession (private and public landlords) with regard to rent arrears and public disorder or any breach of tenancy covenants.  She has also undertaken unlawful eviction and disrepair cases.


Her Family cases involve matters under the Children Act 1989, namely public and private law child care cases and Section 8 matters.


Ms Oji accepts instructions under the 2013 Contractual Terms.

Notable Cases

  • R (on the application of Mian) v Secretary of State for the Home Department
  • B-A (Children: care proceedings) [2012] All ER (D) 90 Feb
  • R v Browne [2004]: Defence Counsel- intent to supply Class A drug, namely Cocaine.  At the time of arrest, this was the third largest seizure of the drug outside London.
